This project was the result of my master thesis. It consisted in the design, verification and validation of an Electrical Power System from scratch of a 1/3U cubesat (a small satellite). The main problems found were the size restrictions and the use of off-the-shelf components.
The prototype designed included the Battery Charge Regulator (BCR), different voltage regulators and a board for cutting the power of part of the board when the battery voltage was below a predefined threshold.
After concluding my master thesis with the maximum grade, I continued with this project together with Yago Sánchez, developing a final complete prototype ready to fit into our small satellite.
